At Skin to Gut Wellness, I combine conventional medical insight with the depth of functional and integrative medicine. Instead of masking symptoms, I ask:
Why is this happening? And how can we support the body to heal?
Here’s what sets my approach apart:
In-Depth Intake | We explore your full health history, environment, stressors, and lifestyle—not just your diagnosis.
Functional Lab Testing | Optional targeted testing for gut health, food sensitivities, micronutrients, inflammation, hormones, and more.
Personalized Treatment Plans | No one-size-fits-all. Your care plan may include nutrition, targeted supplements, skincare, and mind-body strategies.
Ongoing Support | We adjust and refine based on your progress, ensuring sustainable healing over quick fixes.
Chronic Skin Conditions
Eczema/Atopic Dermatitis, psoriasis, acne, hives, seborrheic dermatitis, rosacea, vitiligo, alopecia
Allergies & Sensitivities
Food, environmental, & histamine issues, as well as how to introduce foods to babies and to try and prevent allergies from developing
Gut & Immune Health
Bloating, leaky gut, autoimmunity
While I specialize in skin and allergy concerns, I take a whole-body approach. That means we look upstream—at digestion, immune triggers, and lifestyle—to uncover root causes.
My goal is to help you heal from the inside out, whether you're dealing with a chronic rash, seasonal allergies, or a pattern of fatigue and inflammation that just won’t resolve.
Hi, I’m Samantha Ferguson, PA-C, a licensed medical provider with over five years of clinical experience and a deep passion for integrative health.
After working in traditional medicine, I saw how often patients with eczema, allergies, and chronic inflammation were left cycling through temporary fixes without real answers. When I had a child of my own, I realized that conventional medicine—especially in dermatology and allergy—wasn’t preventing my baby’s eczema, and the standard of care for allergies was outdated. That’s what led me to a deeper investigation into integrative and functional medicine—a whole-body, root-cause approach that finally connected the dots between skin, gut, immune health, and lifestyle.
In February 2025, I joined Dr. Elisa Song’s Healthy Kids Happy Kids Mentorship for Practitioners. Dr. Song is an integrative and functional medicine pediatrician based in California. Her practitioner group fosters collaboration worldwide, provides masterclasses on diagnosis, treatment, and testing for complex conditions, and offers one-on-one case support.
I also plan to complete certification through The Institute for Functional Medicine, the Root Cause Dermatology course, Dr. Jill Crista’s Mold Intensive course, and a course on using peptides in functional medicine. These programs are time-intensive and costly, so I hope to complete them by 2026 and begin seeing patients shortly afterward.
At Skin to Gut Wellness, my mission is to help individuals uncover the root causes of their symptoms and create a healing plan that supports both short-term relief and long-term transformation.
I'm currently preparing to open Skin to Gut Wellness—a fully virtual practice offering personalized, integrative care for eczema, allergies, and chronic conditions with a focus in pediatrics.
When I launch, you’ll be able to book one-on-one consultations, access targeted lab testing, access to third party tested supplements, and receive custom care plans from the comfort of your home.
